Dianne’s 2022 On-Location Workshop
A Journey Through Color
September 24-26, 2022
Here’s the scoop!
A Journey Through Color: A Three-day In-Depth Study
- How to recognize color chords
- How to change one or two notes of a chord while keeping the other note/s constant
- How to give various color interpretations to the same reference
- How to control contrasts and gradations of hue, value and saturation in our paintings.
How Many Can Attend
In order to give each participant individual attention, the spaces are limited to 14. So reservations will have to be first come/first served. That means the first 14 people to sign up on our reservation calendar are it. We will, however maintain a waiting list in case any of the original 14 drop out. The order of that, too, will be first come/first served.
The workshop will be held at the Skylake Clubhouse located near 106 Sautee Trail, in the remote mountain community of Sautee-Nacoochee, Georgia 30571.
Lodging and Meals
You will be responsible for your own lodging. There are B&Bs in the Sautee area and motels in Helen, a little town 7 miles from our location. Travel advisors probably list the Sautee Nacoochee Center destination as the closest to Skylake which is about three miles. When deciding on your accommodations, consider the distance to the Center. There are also campgrounds, should that be the way you want to go.
Another thing to consider is that there will be an Oktoberfest in Helen during this time, so booking as early as possible is advised.
Because you will see more cows than cars, we will have morning snacks and lunches every day. The cost of these are added to the workshop fee. We will send you menus prior to the workshop so that you can select your lunches.
On Saturday evening, our group will have a Dutch treat dinner together at The Copper Pot in Clarkesville. Any family members or friends accompanying you are welcome to join us. For your Sunday evening meal, there is a variety of restaurant choices in the Sautee-Helen-Cleveland-Clarkesville area. If you will need transportation, Uber is available.
